HOW DOES THE BWE PFA UTILIZE THE FUNDS RAISED THROUGH ACTIVITY FEES, FUNDRAISERS & DONATIONS?
Through these forms of financial support, the BWE PFA is able to provide the BWE community with fun and enriching programs & events, as well as the purchasing of items/payment for services that are not otherwise covered by the school district.
Here are some of the events and programs the PFA organizes/sponsors:
- Color-coded grade-level take home folders (K-3)
- Annual allotments given to teachers for classroom supplies
- PBIS/PAWS sponsorship
- Online tools and communications (Membership Toolkit, Directory, etc.)
- Student Assemblies
- Celebration Book Club program
- Fall Family Night celebration
- Elementary Night at the Football Game festivities
- After School Programs (PFA members only)
- Homeroom Parent coordination & Classroom Party planning
- Breakfast Buddies events
- Community Service Projects (Thanksgiving food drive, etc)
- Yearbook
- Yearbook Snapshots Page on Website (PFA members only)
- Holiday Shop & Craft Fair (open to the public)
- Traveling Art Gallery program series
- Camp Kon-O-Kwee supplies for 5th grade trip
- Playground supplies
- Staff Appreciation Week events and gifts
- Maker Space Supplies
- Field Trip Transportation Costs
- Field Day event
The PFA helps supports teacher programs like:
- Cabin Fever Night (K-2 with Mrs. Frisco)
- Book Fairs (volunteering with the BWE Library)
- Bike Rodeo (K-5 with Mrs. Frisco)
- STEAM Expo/Career Night
The PFA approves purchases for specific teacher requests (as able), such as:
- Alternative seating for classrooms
- Staff water cooler in lounge
- Risers and electric piano for music concerts
- Supplemental classroom books
- Supplemental classroom science materials
- Staff lounge equipment
- Courtyard tables and umbrellas, as well as new benches and landscaping
In the past, the BWE PFA conducted a special Glow Run fundraiser for the purchase of STEAM-related items. These items included:
- Band, Orchestra & General Music instruments & equipment
- Health & P.E. equipment
- Library blue bots for coding skills
- Art donation to pay for TAG prints
- Maker Space supplies


It is only through the support of parents like you, that the PFA can continue to operate and provide for our students the programs, events and opportunities that it does.
