TRAVELING ART GALLERY (TAG)
Volunteers Needed!

Traveling Art Gallery (TAG) Needs Volunteers for BWE Students to Benefit from the TAG Program

Traveling Art Gallery is a PFA committee where volunteers have an opportunity to come into the classrooms and present a famous piece of art/artist and art project. The lessons and materials are all created and prepared for you, but you are also free to create your own. This has been a long-standing program in the district that has run through each building’s PFA. The TAG program is in need of volunteerism to be supported.

Who: Any adult with clearances may volunteer. You do not need to be a PFA member. TAG welcomes BWE parent and student alumni volunteers.

Volunteer Commitment: Volunteers will schedule with the grade level teachers (2-3 teachers per grade) at their convenience, any time from now through the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

Presentations to grade level classroom per teacher: 30 minutes each

Preparation: 1-2 hours of time, whenever your schedule permits, to review materials and become familiar with the artwork/artist and plan an art activity as part of the 30-minute presentation. An art activity is NOT required if you feel an interactive discussion is enough! The TAG chairs will provide you with more information.

Art Work: Provided at BWE as part of the TAG Program.

Impact: Kids love TAG, exposing kids to an artist/art work they may not have explored on their own, develop an appreciation for art, for years after elementary school children will have TAG presentation memories.

TAG Your It: After you volunteer, spread the word to other volunteers about TAG to increase support for the 2024-25 school year.

It is only through the support of parents like you, that the PFA can continue to operate and provide for our students the programs, events and opportunities that it does. Please look for volunteer opportunities throughout the year, which will be published in our PFA newsletters and weekly district emails. A list of our 2023-24 PFA COMMITTEES is located here. If you are interested in volunteering, please email bwepfa@gmail.com.
