Holiday Shop Parent Volunteers Needed!

The Holiday Shop Committee is looking for volunteers to help on the night of the big event: Thursday, December 4th! There are several convenient shifts available between the hours of 1:30 & 7:30 pm. Please note that Volunteer shifts that are held during school hours (1:30pm-3:30pm) must have up-to-date clearances on file. All other shifts take place after school hours and therefore, do not need to submit clearances. Volunteer duties may include: helping with set-up, assisting shoppers with gift-wrapping, working at the Elf Sign-In Table, assisting younger shoppers, directing indoor traffic, and cleaning-up. These shifts can coincide with 5th grade Elf shifts for convenience.

Holiday Help Wanted: 5th Grade Elf Volunteers for the BWE Holiday Shop!

Attention All 5th Grade Students! One of the best parts of our BWE Holiday Shop tradition is the amazing help from our 5th Graders! As a Holiday Elf, you’ll get to guide younger students through the kids-only shopping area, help them stick to their budgets, pick out the perfect presents, and make sure every gift gets wrapped up!

It’s a fun way to spread joy and make the season extra special for your BWE classmates. To get ready, we’ll hold a special Elf Training Workshop at the end of November during the school day—so you’ll be all set for your elf shift! Fifth Graders who want to join the fun, please sign-up using the link below, Thanks!

DETAILS ABOUT THE HOLIDAY SHOP:

On the gym side, we will have local craft vendors with a variety of items for sale.

On the cafeteria side, there will be the “Kids-Only” Shop, consisting of items priced between $1 - $10. Our younger shoppers will be assigned a personal 5th-grade “Elf” to assist them in making appropriate gift choices, staying on budget and completing their transaction. Elves will also help with wrapping gifts and safely returning our young shoppers back to their parent/caregiver.

All Holiday Shop attendees will use the Main Entrance of the building. The gym entrance will be blocked off to make room for our vendors.

*Please note that the Kids-Only Shop and Concession Stand are CASH ONLY.

Please look for volunteer opportunities throughout the year, which will be published in our PFA newsletters and weekly district emails.
