Last week, we celebrated National Teacher Appreciation Week at BWE. We want to extend a huge “Thank You!” to Melissa Hornyak and Katie Evans for all of their time, creativity and hard work in organizing a really terrific week for our teachers and staff!
The theme was "Adventure Awaits - The Teachers Make the World aBetter Place!" During the week, the staff was taken on a trip around the world, with a stop in a new country each day!
Monday: Breakfast of tea & pastries from a FRENCH cafe
Tuesday: CHINESE take out containers filled with candy & a gift card to a local restaurant
Wednesday: Cinco de Mayo celebration with a MEXICAN lunch from Moe's
Thursday: "BWE Airlines in Flight" with a snack/beverage cart, and "Passports to Learning" filled with notes of appreciation from our students
Friday: ITALIAN Charcuterie Cups / Fruit
We also want to extend a big “Thank You!” to all of our families who sent in notes and donated for gift cards. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide ALL of our staff notes from the students, as well as gift cards to local restaurants. The staff was so appreciative, and it was great to be able to support local businesses at the same time!
